David
B. Rounds co-founded uptimeLV, Inc. in 2001 and as President has built a premier
multi-million dollar technology business which is one of Nevada's foremost information
technology consulting firms. With his more than 17 years of experience in the
information technology industry, and B2B technology sales coupled with his drive
for success and results, uptimeLV has experienced over 200% revenue growth and
profitability during the last eight years.
Additionally, Mr. Rounds' leadership, oversight and vision for uptimeLV
has led to many firsts in Las Vegas IT-services industry, such as the first in
Nevada to be recognized by Microsoft as a Gold Certified Partner; the first to
develop, market, implement and institutionalize an IT "managed service" philosophy
and agreement in Las Vegas; the development of the "One-Rate" program,
which personalized for clients a program where they could make as many support
calls as necessary for one rate per month. In 2006, Microsoft endorsed "One-Rate" as
a new strategy in IT managed services and support.
In 2006 the Las Vegas Chamber of Commerce named uptimeLV as "Innovative Business
of the Year". And most recently, In Business selected Mr. Rounds as one of
its 2009 "40 under 40" honorees.
In addition to the successful establishment of uptimeLV, Inc., Rounds
also founded two other very successful businesses: 1) Co-Location Las Vegas, LLC.,
which is a full service co-location managed service specializing in the small
to medium sized businesses, and, 2) Hi-Time, LLC., which is a high-end aviation
entertainment products re-seller.
As a native of Las Vegas, Rounds is very active within the community,
sitting on the board of trustees as vice president of ways and means for his synagogue,
Congregation Ner Tamid; Founding member of the operational board of directors
for Three Square, a nonprofit organization working to end hunger in Southern Nevada.
Mr. Rounds also serves as the IT Committee chairman and is a key member of the
Design and Development Committee for the new 70,000 square-foot distribution center.
Additionally, Mr. Rounds was recently named as the vice chairman for the Emerging
Markets Committee for the Southern Nevada Worker Investment Board. This board
will be distributing, an estimated $25 million from the American Recovery and
Reinvestment Act of 2009 for local workforce reentry in support of the Southern
Nevada job market.
